PetitionCall to Action
IP Evacuation Hearings!

With all the media coverage and international attention given to the unspeakable disaster in Fukushima, Japan, and the lasting memory of the terrorist attacks on New York on September 11, 2001, little or nothing has been done to address Indian Point's inadequate and unworkable evacuation plan.

Assemblywoman Naomi Rivera, Bronx, takes the welfare of her constituents and the region seriously. She is calling for the NY State Assembly to investigate the effectiveness of current Indian Point evacuation planning and address its deficiencies.

After you sign the petition, please respond to the confirmation email you receive so that your signature will be verified. Thank you.

The Sloop ClearwaterClearwater is a member-supported organization dedicated to preserving and protecting the Hudson River and its tributaries, providing innovative environmental programs, advocacy and celebrations to inspire and energize the next generation of environmental leaders.

Since the launch of the sloop Clearwater in 1969, more than a half million people have experienced their first real look at an estuary's ecosystem onboard America's Environmental Flagship. Today, the organization is partnering with schools and community leaders to raise the bar of environmental education and working to create a sustainable world of green jobs in a green economy.
