Dear Ray, The situation in Sudan is dire and it's getting worse with every day that passes. As you read this email, families in South Kordofan are seeking refuge in holes dug into the ground as makeshift bomb shelters, families are being torn apart, children are at risk of losing a limb, or worse, from an unexpected attack — these crimes are happening every day while men, women and children are left to suffer and die — all on the orders of one man. Sudan's president, Omar al-Bashir, the same man responsible for the atrocities in Darfur is at it again — slaughtering men, women and children and displacing hundreds of thousands of people in South Kordofan and Blue Nile, Sudan. And Secretary of State Hillary Clinton — once a supporter of our efforts to end genocide in Darfur — is actually entertaining the idea of normalizing relations with this genocidal monster. Sign the postcard to Secretary Clinton now — because with every new signature, our impact will be stronger and louder. We will hand-deliver your postcard, along with thousands of others, to Secretary Clinton and demand that she stand up for the people of Sudan and start applying strong sanctions against Bashir now. Bashir is an international criminal wanted for crimes against humanity and genocide. And he must be stopped. Be a voice for the people of Sudan. Sign the postcard to demand justice TODAY. I can't stress how important this is — Bashir's government is attacking civilians now and we must act to stop it. After you sign your name, we will hand-deliver your postcard to Secretary of State Hilary Clinton. Please sign the postcard and join the thousands of others who are demanding justice now. Thank you for your continued support. Sincerely, Tom Andrews, President United to End Genocide | > | |||
