Message from our @NinaTurner and @OurRevolution

Right now, we have an opportunity to change the system for the better, but we need your help.

Our Revolution

We all have a vision for what we want this country to become. We can make it a place that guarantees health care, education, and voting rights to all of its people. Our energy system can lead the world in clean, renewable energy production, and people can earn a living wage that does not force them to take on multiple jobs working themselves to the bone. The private prisons, restrictions on women’s health care, and illegal behavior on Wall Street can be curtailed and undone, clearing a path for a more just and inclusive society for all.
This is not wishful thinking. It can be done, and so much more.
I got involved in this fight because like you, I saw that the conditions around me, which had persisted over generations of status quo politics, did not have to define the way we lived our lives. Right now, we have an opportunity to change the system for the better, but we need your help if we are going to bring about the radical change we so desperately need. Can you contribute $58 to Our Revolution? No matter the size of each individual donation, when we put our resources together we form the most powerful grassroots force this country has ever seen.
Whether you are fighting because you’re buried in student loan debt, are struggling to afford your health care, or are one of the millions of Americans who have not bounced back from the Recession quite like Wall Street and the top one percent have, it is important that we stick together.
We have proven time and again that when we are determined, engaged, and supporting one another we can overcome whatever challenge is thrown our way. When the establishment told us that campaigning on Medicare for All, free college tuition, and closing the corporate tax loopholes without a Super PAC to help us was pie in the sky, we went out and won 22 states and over 13 million votes in the Democratic primary. That is exactly what we fought for.
We’ve also fought against some truly awful policies, from efforts to strip our health care and women’s reproductive rights, to racist and xenophobic policies that would discriminate against Latino and Muslim immigrants from living in the land of the free. When things got tough, we stayed the course and prevailed.
Our Revolution is still working to advance the bold, progressive policies that brought us together by lobbying Democrats in the U.S. House to support the #PeoplesPlatform, but we need the resources to compete against the big money interests who are standing in our way. Can you chip in just $58 to help us continue the fight for a country that works for all?
As long as a single person is denied their right to health care, an education, a living wage, or reproductive rights, we will be there fighting. Until the fossil fuel industry, Wall Street, and the prison-industrial complex are called to account for the harm they’ve done to the American people, we will stand with you in this fight.
We are not just in this movement for ourselves, we are in this movement for generations yet unborn. Thank you for being a part of the political revolution.

Our Revolution

From Jackson, Mississippi, to Philadelphia, St. Louis, Iowa, Colorado, Delaware, Texas, Virginia, Vermont, California, Portland, San Antonio, Long Island, and South Fulton, Georgia, you have spent the first half of 2017 helping bold candidates who are trying to create a country that works for everyone.
Our Revolution is the vehicle for progressive political change and you are the drivers. The grassroots strategy that you are leading has helped hundreds of local organizing chapters make an impact in their communities, and we're only getting started.
From city council members, board of education members, and mayors to state representatives, state senators, district attorneys, and state Democratic Party chairs, you have led the way to change politics across the country at every level.
State Representatives Monica Kurth and Christine Pellegrino are bringing our progressive principles onto the floor of their state houses in Iowa and New York. Mayor Chokwe Lumumba is organizing a People's Assembly in Jackson, Mississippi, and likely Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner is going to work with the community to eradicate the institutional racism and policies of mass incarceration that have plagued the city for decades.
We have the power to win more races and rise up together. The political revolution only gets stronger from here.

Here's what we are going to do about Trumpcare ~ @BernieSanders

This weekend, I am partnering with MoveOn and going back on the road to visit states where there are Republican senators who can and should vote against the effort by Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell to throw 23 million people off of health insurance and, in the same bill, give huge tax breaks to multinational corporations and the rich.
They call it a health care bill, but how can it be a health care bill when it throws 23 million people off of insurance, cuts $834 billion from Medicaid, and defunds Planned Parenthood? God knows what the implication of this legislation will be on our children, the elderly, and those of us with chronic illnesses.
It is literally insane. I have a hard time understanding what kind of world these guys are living in sometimes.
This is a bill that impacts a sixth of the American economy and touches every single American family. Yet they kept the bill secret, kept it hidden. And now, in the last possible second, they are going to rush it before the U.S. Senate to get a vote.
We're going to be visiting Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia on Saturday and Sunday. If you can, please show up. But we cannot pull off this tour alone. We need your help.
Chip in to MoveOn today to help them fund our tour to stop Republicans from kicking 23 million Americans off of health insurance in order to give a tax cut to the richest among us.

Time is running out. No one can sit on the sidelines. Not now. It is up to all of us to act in an unprecedented way. We have to think big and do everything humanly possible to make sure that this horrendous piece of legislation does not become law.
On this tour I will ask why it is that the United States is the only major country on earth that does not guarantee health care to all of its people as a right. I will ask why we pay far more per capita than any other nation for health care—with worse outcomes—and the highest prices for prescription drugs. And I will discuss the Medicare for all, single payer legislation that I will soon be introducing in the United States Senate.

But first, we must stop Republican efforts to repeal the Affordable Care Act.

Thank you for joining me and MoveOn in that effort.
In solidarity,

Bernie Sanders
